A wealth of experience and a warm welcome await you at CarnboothA warm welcome to all from the team at Carnbooth House Hotel. I am pleased to have the opportunity to introduce the key members of the senior team to you. William Tweedie is our Operations manager. William has joined us from the Glynhill hotel in Renfrew where he enjoyed a very successful career, spending 5 years working operationally in the food and beverage and conference and banqueting departments. William then joined the hotel’s management training scheme at the age of 21, and thereafter held a variety of management positions over a further fifteen years, including departments such Conference, Banqueting and Sales. William is a dedicated and seasoned hotelier who has committed much of his career to the Scottish wedding market. Thomas Grant is our group’s Food and Beverage director. Thomas is General manager of the group’s Ivory hotel, a position which he has held for some 18 months. Prior to this, he was Executive chef at the Ivory for 7 years. He has been involved in Glasgow’s hospitality industry for 30 years. He has worked in several well-known Glasgow restaurants including Mojo, and has run his own outside catering business catering for corporate events. Craig McElhiney is the hotel’s Head Chef. He joins us from the Ivory hotel where he was Head chef for 18 months. Prior to joining the group, Craig worked at Ibrox stadium for some 15 years, where he was head chef for 2 seasons. Craig has also worked at many prominent events such as the Cheltenham Festival. He has an abundance of experience catering for large numbers, and is very committed to delivering fresh cuisine of the finest standard. Tim Hunt is Managing Director of Montgomery Hunt hotels, and is based at Carnbooth House, where he leads the team in their efforts to establish the hotel as a new and unique conference, banqueting and wedding venue. Tim has over 30 years experience in the Scottish hotel scene. He was General Manager of Glasgow’s Thistle hotel for some 14 years and was also Thistle’s Operations Director in Scotland for 5 years. In recent years he has established his own consultancy working with private hotel owners. He now works full-time as MD of Montgomery Hunt hotels.
