Introduction

The Carnbooth House is recognised as an absolutely wonderful venue for weddings. The house plays host to special events in all shapes and sizes but with one thing in common – a tradition of personal service. Our main wedding promotional material contains lots of helpful information

For the avoidance of doubt, it is our policy to only ever provide a destination for one wedding per day, and with the means to tailor your day to your own precise requirements, our events team will offer every assistance with planning the fundamental timings and details of the day.

Each and every wedding is quite individual and as such we discuss every wedding on a one to one basis with our brides, grooms and parents.  We have a range of delightful rooms that may or may not be utilised for the various elements involved in making up your successful special day and at the time of the initial show round we will outline the various areas within the hotel which are available, and the best ones applicable to the size of your special event.

On certain occasions room hire charges or facility fees become applicable these details would form part of any initial wedding discussion.

The Marquee Maximum Capacity

The vast majority of wedding meals at The Carnbooth are for 70 to 150 daytime guests (see under “small and intimate” for smaller wedding parties), with the wedding breakfast held in our purpose built, solid structure and fully heated marquee. Our absolute maximum numbers for a meal in The Marquee are 150.

Allowing space for a dance floor and band to set up, there can be physical seating for up to 150 guests. Therefore we would suggest that our maximum capacity for the evening celebrations is no more than 200 guests.

Wedding Meal Minimum Guest Numbers

Weddings at The Carnbooth can take place each and every day of the week and we promise that yours will be the only wedding held at The Carnbooth on your special day. Our minimum number requirements throughout the year are as follows:

Friday's: 70

Saturday's: 80

The Wedding Ceremony

We offer the opportunity to hold the wedding service at The Carnbooth and thus enjoy the benefit of having your entire wedding reception held under one roof. The ceremony can be of either a religious, humanist or civil format. If you choose to have the ceremony at The Carnbooth, a ceremony fee applies as follows:

  • Ceremony for 20 – 60 Guests - £250.00
  • Ceremony for 60 – 100 Guests - £300.00
  • Ceremony for 100 – 180 Guests - £350.00

The Selection of Menus

Fixed Menu or Choice Menu?

We offer our couples the option of either a set menu or choice menu for their wedding breakfast. In the instance a choice menu is chosen we must ask that we receive a pre order for each individual guest no later than two weeks prior to the wedding day, we must also be provided with a completed table layout and menu choice template at this time.

Children's Menu

We are also of course delighted to do special menus for children usually 3 courses at £9.95, when appropriate children can order on the day of the wedding.

Menu Tastings

We are proud to offer all our brides a menu tasting for two people during the planning process. This should take place around three months prior to the wedding date but can be brought forward if a choice menu is being offered.

Corkage

We offer the opportunity for you to provide your own wine at The Carnbooth for your special day. If you choose to do this there would be corkage charges applicable which would be as follows (inc VAT):

£10.00 per bottle of wine
£12.50 per bottle of sparkling wine
£15.00 per bottle of champagne

We will of course store wine on delivery and serve the wine on the day.

Please note that we do ask that any leftover bottles are removed from The Carnbooth the morning after the wedding. We have no facility for storing these items. Please note that due to lack of storage facilities, any leftover wine which is not removed from the premises on the morning after the wedding will be disposed of.
